In order to join a target archery club you have to complete a beginners course.
This course covers shooting techniques and - most importantly - the safety protocols and etiquette of archery.
You will also learn about different bow types and forms or archery.
At Silver Arrow we run regular courses consisting of four two-hour sessions running over consecutive weeks. The cost of the course is £65.
If you cannot make the set dates, we can run a one-to-one beginners course. This can be run over four one-hour sessions, or if you have a long way to travel we can run it over two two-hour sessions. These can be arranged at times to suit you. The cost is £100.

Please complete the application form and submit it with payment - you can pay by cash, cheque or card. The price is £70.
Your place cannot be confirmed until full payment is received.
Start date of next courses:
Tuesday 3 August - 6.30 - 8.30pm at Longdean School, Hemel Hempstead
Thursday 9 September 6.30 - 8.30pm
Edlesborough
The minimum age for beginners courses is normally 10 years - although this can depend on maturity and strength. If in doubt we are happy to carry out a quick assessment before the start of the course. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the course. It is acceptable for the parent/guardian to take the course at the same time.
There is no maximum age.
Archery is a very accessible sport and therefore we are happy to teach people of almost all physical abilities. If you have a medical condition that you think may affect your archery, just let us know and we will do our best to ensure you can shoot.
