Learn archery so you can join a club
Silver Arrow Archery Club runs a Beginner’s Course most months at the indoor range of the Club, always over a weekend. The courses are open to anyone aged 10 or over. We keep the class size small - so you get plenty of attention from our very experienced coaches who are trained to Archery GB standards.
The course takes 7 hours spread over a weekend with a 3½ hours on both Saturday and Sunday. It provides a good grounding in the basics of safely participating in archery and cover aspects such as assembling and handling a bow, the basic techniques for shooting, and shooting safety and etiquette. It is mainly hands-on so there will be a lot of opportunity to shoot the bows, and there will be a short fun competition to end the course.

All the equipment is provided on the day.

Upon completing the course, you will receive a certificate, which can help you join an archery club and continue enjoying the sport.

TASTER SESSIONS
Have a go at archery
If you don’t want to dive into the full training session but are just wanting to get a taste of Archery, our Taster session gives a fun-filled hands-on session in about an hour and is also run by experienced trained instructors.
