Chairman’s Challenge Competition - Results

Sunday’s Chairman’s Challenge competition which was a team competition against Berkhamsted Bowmen was by all accounts a great success. It was a blustery day but this didn’t put off the team of 14 from Berkhamsted who came to Challenge our mighty archers. The competition was a handicap competition and there were some good scores posted despite the wind.

And the best of it … Silver Arrow Archers were triumphant and now have the trophy to prove it.

The individual performances were also scored and medals awarded to the top 3 ladies and gents archers.

Well done to:

Ladies Gold Medal Chloe Mitchell –Silver Arrow Archery Club

Silver Medal Christie Harwood – Silver Arrow Archery Club

Bronze Medal Jess Matthews – Silver Arrow Archery Club

Gents Gold Medal Nick Nicholson – Silver Arrow Archery Club

Silver Medal Steve Baldry – Berkhamsted Bowmen

Bronze Medal Adrian Charman – Silver Arrow Archery Club

It looks like this may become a regular fixture for both Clubs!

The next Booster course

Gavin has announced dates for the next booster course. It is a three-session course for anyone who wants to improve their archery. If you did your beginners course a few months ago and want to improve this course could be for you. Or if you have been shooting for a while and need to shake off some bad habits to get you next Robin Hood badge it could be for you. Whoever you are, the course is limited to six people with a price of only £10 which we ask you to pay at the first session.

The course will cover back to basics posture and technique, introducing drills and skills that can be done anywhere at any time and in the final session we will also cover equipment setup and tuning.

The course is spread out over multiple non-consecutive weekends to allow you to put into practice what is covered in between the sessions.

Saturday July 19th 11am to 1pm

Saturday August 2nd 11am to 1pm

Saturday August 23rd 11am to 1pm
